Work At Home Advertising - Language Spoken continued....

Hay folks.  By now, you are probably tired of  the language
of work at home advertising.  But, it's important, especially
when you start visiting sites as a potential affiliate.

It's been my experience that too many vendors, or
website owners just assume everybody understands
the jargon.  So, armed with your list that was thoughtfully
provided via Directory of Ezines, you have a leg up.

OK, we will just do the "O's" this time.  There are only
three of them.  Here goes.

Opt-in

The process of a reader requesting more information
from a site.  The reader is opting in to be included
on a mailing list, hence opt-in.  All legitimate email
marketers use an opt-in process to ensure that their
selling messages go only to people who want to receive
them.

I will add to this as well, that there is also recent legislation
that makes this compulsory.

Opt-In Subscriber

Ezines are only sent to people (subscribers) who ask for the
ezine by emailing a request to receive the ezine or filling
out a form on a website where the ezine is offered.  This opt-in
process is important because it ensures that the ezine is
delivered to people who are interested enough to request it.

Ezines are not mailed to non-subscribers, and have nothing
to do with bulk email or spam.

 Opt-Out

The process of sending email to people and telling them they
must ask to be taken off the list in order to stop receiving email.
Opt-Out is a bad marketing technique and most often
associated with spammers.

OK.  That the "O's", but what important "O's".   I may have
mentioned this, but I am always on the prowl for good freebies.
I mean useful books or videos.  So, you never know when I
have found one.  When I do, you will hear about it.

OK, till tomorrow....
